The sixth AAPI Fest was a memorable celebration held on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 12, 2024, at the Classic Bowling Center in Daly City, CA. Under the leadership of head organizer and founder Melody Ybona Gawliu, along with her dedicated group of organizers and volunteers, the event provided a safe and joyful space for our community to gather, connect, and support one another. The festival was honored by the presence of Daly City Mayor Juslyn Manalo and San Mateo County Supervisor David Canepa, who made special appearances to acknowledge the incredible efforts in fostering community spirit. The AAPI Fest highlighted the significant contributions and achievements of the Asian American and Pacific Islander community, while also celebrating the dual joys of Mother’s Day and the Graduation season. It was a day filled with inspiration, love, and celebration, leaving attendees with cherished memories and a deeper sense of community.
